RAJHANS are manufacturers of a variety of plastics – processing machinery, including Continuous, Discontinuous and Backflush Screen changers.

The range of Diverter valves has been developed in conjunction with extruder manufacturers and take advantage of RAJHANS’s joint experience.

These Valves are installed between Ext. barrel / Screen Changer and Die assemblies to divert the material during start up, thereby avoiding contamination of down stream equipment ( until the melt is, for instance, homogeneous. )

Similarly the Diverter can be used as a safety valve during production, if, for instance, pressure in the extruder barrel starts to rise because of overload of fillers, or there is a downstream problem which could be rectified without stopping the line.

Mode  of  Operation
The Diverter Valve is hydraulically operated by means of a cylinder, power pack and accumulator.

At start up the material is diverted from the production line; when it is homogeneous the valve is switched to the production position. The rapid switch over enables production to start at full throughput, as is necessary, for instance, for the start up of certain underwater pelletisers.

The Diverter Valve can also be manufactured as a shut-off valve, two-way valve etc.
